Flushed with fear: Petrified mum has bizarre phobia about going to the loo

The mum of one has an irrational fear of toilets and runs away when she flushes…terrified she will be swallowed up

Pan-icky: Ney fears being swallowed up
Petrified Ney Decino crosses everything when she needs to spend a penny – including her fingers.
The mum of one has an irrational fear of toilets and runs away when she flushes…terrified she will be swallowed up.
Ney, 20, is scared of going alone and makes family members pull the handle for her.
She always tries to work close to home so she can use the only loo she feels safe on.
Now she is trying to face her demons by setting up a Facebook group to link up with other sufferers.
Ney says she developed her phobia when she was four – after watching the 1990 film Look Who’s Talking Too, starring John Travolta and Kirsty Alley.
In a scene about potty training, the family movie features an imaginary big-eyed, sharp-toothed character called the The Toilet Man, who screams he wants the child’s pee.
Ney says: “I’ve been terrified ever since. When I was about 11 I wet myself on my way home because I wouldn’t use the loo at school.”

Her phobia means she will not use a public toilet or a WC with an old-fashioned pull chain.
If desperate she uses her friends’ loos but only if someone goes with her.
The carer, from Church Village, Mid Glamorgan, admits the phobia is “silly” but says it is as strong as ever.
She says: “I flush the loo and then run out of the bathroom unless someone is with me. I use the kitchen to wash my hands.
“The sound of the water sends shivers down my spine. It’s awful.
“I swear it will swallow me up. Once I’ve flushed, the sound of it and the look of the water going down, it freaks me out.
“Cubicles all in a row are a nightmare. That’s why I only go when out in public in an absolute emergency.
"And I won’t use a loo with a pull chain at all. That is my biggest fear. The surge of water when you have to flush is just too much.”
Ney added: “Only my family, my best friend and former partner knew. They thought I would grow out of it but I never have.”
Ney is also fearful of water in general – avoiding swimming pools, lakes and trips to the seaside.
She admits that giving birth to Kaydee, now nine months, heightened her phobia because she had to make more visits to the loo.
But Ney is not alone. Up to four million suffer from a similar anxiety – mainly linked to the fear of germs.
That is despite a study by specialists Microban showing public loos are generally more hygienic than those in the home.
Ney’s Facebook group, called Scared of the Toilet Flush, already has over 120 members.

Robert Pattinson looks sad as he leaves LA for Sydney: Is he missing Kristen Stewart already?

The Twilight: Breaking Dawn 2 press tour has started, and that means Rob will be seven thousand miles away from Kristen in Australia
Practical R-Pattz is prepared to wrap up against the plane's air con
We might have gasped in shock after Kristen Stewart cheated on Robert Pattinson, but we're gradually getting used to the idea of them being back together.
After all, they were spotted on dates (in bars) twice last week, then there were THOSE pictures of them at the pool in Kristen's new house - so they're definitely back on.
Even Liberty Ross, the wife of Rupert Sanders, seems to have forgiven him, so it's almost like Kristen never cheated. Almost.
Robert Pattinson
Rob was spotted leaving LA today to fly to Australia to start the press tour for the final Twilight film, Breaking Dawn part two - and he looked really sad. Cheer up, Rob - we're sure they let you fly first class! He'll head to Sydney this week, and next week Kristen will be off to Japan. The cast will be working hard: Taylor Lautner visits Brazil, Ashley Grene visits South Africa, Kellan Lutz and Nikki Reed visit Scotland and Ireland and then they're all back in LA at the end of the month, and they're joined by the director, screenwriter and the rest of the vampire family.
Robert Pattinson
Then, they start going on talk shows starting from 4 November, so expect lots of awkward attempts to talk about the whole cheating thing. Then ... (take another deep breath) R-Pattz, K-Stew and a really uncomfortable Taylor Lautner walk the red carpet at the premiere in LA on 12 November, in London on 14 November, in Madrid, Spain on 15 November and in Berlin, Germany on 16 November. We hope they're collecting their air miles.
Robert Pattinson
The film's finally out in UK cinemas on 14 November, by which time we'll probably all be really sick of it. Actually, that's a lie: we'll be more obsessed than ever.
A bit like Donald Trump, who's come out to give his opinion on Kristen Stewart. It's not nice, we have to warn you ...

Blinking hell: Gran's bizarre medical condition forces her eyelids shut... except when she's SINGING

She suffered from focal dystonia - a rare muscle complaint that causes the eyes to spasm closed - and which ultimately meant she had to quit her job
Eye opener: Moira Gleed singer
A gran who has a bizarre medical condition that forces her eyelids to shut has found an unexpected cure by SINGING.
Moira Gleed, 66, suffered from focal dystonia - a rare muscle complaint that causes the eyes to spasm closed - and which ultimately meant she had to quit her job.
But in an amazing discovery, while at her local choir practice, the pensioner realised breaking into song actually encouraged her eyes to remain open.
An ecstatic Moira said: “My eyes used to get incredibly red and inflamed and were always itchy and sore.
“Then I began to realise that my eyelids would just involuntary close.
"There was no way I could move them - apart from prising them open with my fingers.
“It was awful. I had to give up my job as a careers advisor, I couldn’t drive. I felt really lost.
“But then, one day at my local choir practice, I was singing my heart out and all of a sudden I realised I could see the conductor!
"My eyes were open! “It was fantastic!”
Moira, from Wrexham, north Wales, has botox injections every 10 weeks to ease the muscles, but they have limited success.
Now, she walks with the aid of a stick and wears dark glasses and a visor.
She said: “It all started off with extreme light sensitivity. I didn’t question it at first but then my eyes started to get really sore and dry.
“I went to an optician and they thought I had inflammation of the eyes, but any medication I was given just made no difference.
“It was hard because I’d explain to my doctor what was happening but he had no idea what it was. I had so many referrals and appointments.
“Except for when I’m singing I almost feel like I’ve got sand in my eyes every minute of the day. They’re gritty and dry all the time.
“Singing just lets me forget about my problems and recharge my batteries for a bit.
“I suppose it is quite unusual. As soon as we stop singing and there’s the piano accompaniment or the introduction of the song my eyes are closed.
And then as soon as I start singing, they open again!”
Because of the therapeutic effects of music on Moria’s eyesight, her whole family have gamely decided to break into song much more often.
Her husband Mike has joined a choir and the 66-year-old is on the verge of setting up a local support network group for those who suffer from the neurological condition.
Moira added: “My family are so proud of me and they see how happy singing makes me.
Paul King, Chief Executive of the Dystonia Society said: “Dystonia is a neurological condition where incorrect messages from the brain cause muscles to become over-active.
“It can affect many different parts of the body - and causes disabling and often painful postures or movements.”

Happy Saturday: Look! It's Gerard Butler, topless in his new movie

Like nipples? Like hot men? Well, we've got a treat for you. A hot Scot-shaped treat.

Hot! The film's out 7 December, so book your tickets now
We love a celeb strip-off, especially when it's a hot man. So hello there, Gerard Butler, who's taken his shirt off for his new film, Playing For Keeps.
A new trailer for the film features Gerard as a sexy Scottish soccer coach who used to be married to Jessica Biel ( she got married this weekend! See what she had to say about the ceremony here ) and has a small cute son. The plot seems to be that he kisses Catherine Zeta Jones, is mates with Dennis Quaid, sits about in his pants and ... who cares, he's got no top on.
Gerard Butler
Jessica Biel's all hot and shiny haired, and Uma Thurman's in it too. We're not sure who she is, but the whole thing seems suitably soppy to take your parents to see over the Christmas holidays (it's out 7 December).
Gerard recently spoke out about his trip to the Betty Ford clinic rehab centre in February. He told US magazine Men's Journal: "I think, on a basic level, I have a pretty addictive personality, both good and bad," he said. Gerard hurt himself filming 2007 movie Shattered, and then again in 2010 filming Coriolanus. But he said he ended up taking a lot of pills for the pain when he almost died filming a surfing scene in December 2011 for film Chasing Mavericks. "I started taking more," he says. "And I started taking them very quickly." He confirmed he never had a full-blown addiction to painkillers but was worried that if he didn't go to rehab, it'd get out of hand.
Gerard Butler
He also says that he was upset when people speculated he was in rehab because of issues with his drinking. "That really pissed me off. I haven't had a drink in 15 years," he said.
Well, you don't look THAT good with your top off if dinner is six pints of Guinness every night, do you?

Scout of order: Devastated schoolboy banned from Scouts for not believing in God

He was unable to swear allegiance to God and the Queen in the Scout Promise because he is an atheist – and has been banned

Salute: George wants to join in
SWNS
A schoolboy has been banned from joining the Scouts because he does not believe in God.
George Pratt, 11, has been going to his local group for around 10 months and was delighted when they invited him to sign up as a full member.
But he was unable to swear allegiance to God and the Queen in the Scout Promise because he is an atheist – and has now been banned from attending.
George said yesterday: “I am really disappointed about not being able to go any more just because I don’t believe in God.
“We have spoken about it with the Scout leader, but he won’t change his decision, it is very unfair.
"My friends who are Scouts don’t think it is right, either.
“Everyone is going caving soon and I’ve never been before.
"It is something I would love to do, but I’m not allowed. I’m not going to change my decision though.”

His furious dad Nick, 45, said: “Christianity is meant to be about being tolerant, forgiving and understanding.
“You are allowed to join if you are a Christian or a Muslim but you can’t not believe in God. He’s being excluded because he doesn’t believe.
“I’ve brought George up to be courteous, kind and considerate. He’s a clever child and came to the decision himself.
“He doesn’t believe in God and doesn’t believe the world was formed in seven days.
"George had the guts to stand up and admit his view and I believe the Scouts are being narrow-minded.
“This is his decision and if he changes his mind in six months’ time, then that is fine by me, just as long as he has made an informed choice.”
George began attending the 1st Midsomer Norton Group, in Somerset – which meets in a hall opposite his house – in January.
But to be a full member youngsters must take the Scout Promise, which says: “On my honour, I promise that I will do my best, To do my duty to God and to the Queen, To help other people, And to keep the Scout Law.”
Different versions of the oath are available for different faiths but all variations recognise the “duty to God” part in some way, such as using “Allah” for Muslims.

Simon Carter, assistant director of media relations for the Scout Movement, said: “All young people are required to make the Scout Promise if they wish to become a Scout.
“Young people are required to show both an understanding – relevant to their age – and an acceptance of the Promise before they become a member.
“Scouting accepts that as they grow into adults, some young people may question or doubt the existence of God as they develop their personal spiritual understanding.
“Scouting believes that young people going through this process should be able to remain a Scout.”

By Issy Sampson Comments Blimey! Alicia Keys strips off and gets sexy in her new video

Is Alicia Keys the only woman in the world who can make a neon yellow bra look hot? We're going for yes.

There is no way we'd let you take a picture of us sitting down, in a crop top
In our heads, Alicia Keys is a super-nice lady (did you hear her when she went on Nick Grimshaw's radio show and he sung the whole of Girlfriend to her? She was fun then), she's very good at singing, but we think of her as a soul-singing tomboy who's got nice hair.
But then we saw her new video for Girl On Fire and phew. We know why our boyfriend fancies her now ... and all it took was a neon bra.
Alicia Keys
YouTube
In the video, she plays a sexy housewife - rolling about on a bed in a pencil skirt and crop top, flashing a bit of neon bra and wearing heels to do the housework.
And the neon bra doesn't even look like she's in fancy dress as a sexy lollipop lady. It looks good!
She also wears a green satin dress and all the hard work she put in, in the gym, has paid off. Anyone who's been to a work Christmas party knows that satin is not a forgiving fabric.
Alicia gave birth to baby Egypt in 2010, and has been "busting her ass" to get back in shape ever since. "[It was] a lot of very difficult, hard, painful work," she recently told Entertainment Tonight. "Some people are just like, 'I just eat steak and potatoes and bread and I'm fine,' and I'm not that person. I have to really bust my ass."

Well, it worked. She looks HOT. Rihanna, watch your 'rolling around on a bed in a bra' crown (that's a thing, promise) because Alicia is coming for it.

"Ey Mann, wo is' mein Auto?" German man reunited with car TWO YEARS after forgetting where he parked it

After a night of drinking in December 2010, the now 33-year-old man was unable to find where he had parked his car - but it turned up 2.5 miles away last month

Parking your car then forgetting where you left it is one of life’s little annoyances, so spare a thought for one German man who took TWO YEARS to find his.
After a night of drinking in December 2010, the now 33-year-old man was unable to find where he had parked his car, according to the Inquisitr.
When he failed to locate the vehicle the next morning, he reported it missing to police in Munich.
The missing car was discovered by chance last month after a traffic warden noticed its inspection sticker had expired.
The elusive car was in a parking lot 2.5 miles away from where the craftsman thought he had parked and had searched two years earlier.
"The weird thing is that it turned up so far away, although the owner was pretty sure of where he had left it," said police spokesman Alexander Lorenz told Reuters.
In the car boot were 40,000 euros ($51,600) worth of tools including power drills and electric screwdrivers, Lorenz said.
